What is Qi Gong?
Therapeutic Qi Gong is a type of medical Qi Gong
used for healing, disease prevention, maintaining
good immune function and daily energy level. It is
an “energy workout” developed by Chinese doctors and
professors at the University of Physical Education
and Sports Medicine in China. This therapeutic
exercise regimen is based on an ancient discipline
known as Tao Yin, a type of Qi Gong that has been in
practice for over 4000 years. It involves whole
body movements, stretching, proper breathing, as
well as self-massage to promote smooth energy (Qi)
flow in the body.
Benefits: Research has revealed that this
type of Qi Gong helps to prevent and heal problems
of muscles, tendons and joints; gastrointestinal
disorders, hypertension, heart disease, stress,
anxiety, depression, insomnia, arthritis, cancer and
many other illnesses. It improves posture, daily
energy level, immune function, mental sharpness,
attitude, and emotion balance. It is a whole-body
healing exercise that is beneficial for people of
all ages. It is the most popular Qi Gong in China.
